Ceux-ci lui fournissent des signaux d’alerte aux abords d’un éventuel danger, et c’est la fuite. Face au feu, le cheval à tendance à réagir de la même façon, et il fera tout ce qu’il est possible pour fuir dans le sens opposé. C’est une étape, un dépassement de soi, et pour le cavalier, et pour le cheval. Ensemble, la paire cavalier - cheval travaille en confiance et en osmose afin de vaincre sa peur. Plus tard, le cheval auquel on aura appris qu’il n’y a aucun danger, s’amusera et se jouera de cet élément naturel qu’est le feu. Pas besoin d’être grand écuyer ni d’avoir un super cheval de concours. L’objectif consiste à faire une activité de dépassement de soi avec son partenaire et ami le cheval.
